Salem County Watchdog requested the minutes and agendas via OPRA in an attempt to assure the public has access to the Official documents. The custodian for the County, Clerk of the Freeholder Board Earl Gage, has responded to this issue with the following statement in an email:
"I can attest that all minutes are official that appear on the web site and have all been accepted by the Freeholders."
With limited funds and many documents to pay for public access the Salem County Watchdog will take Mr.Gage at his word. When you access Minutes and Agendas they are the same files as official county website.
At the time of this posting Executive Session minutes are NOT (and NEVER have been) on the official county website. The Executive (or Closed session) minutes were obtained...via paid OPRA request by Salem County Watchdog.
